Department of Analytical Chemistry is working on the development of spectrophotometric, electrochemical and chromatographic methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis of drugs and metabolites and other organic compounds. The validation of the methods is done both experimentally and chemometrically and the developed methods are applied to natural products with drug, food, biological and environmental samples. It is also aimed to apply these methods to drug agents and their mechanism studies and to make them available for routine analysis of commercial preparations.

• Department of Analytical Chemistry aims to educate people who have gained the ability of analytical thinking, have analytical thinking skills, have basic knowledge in analyzing drugs and metabolites and researching natural products, can produce new ideas in these subjects, develop research projects and produce solutions to the problems of the industry.
