Department of Biochemistry was established in 2014 at the BEU Faculty of Pharmacy. The aim of the foundation is to provide the necessary information in the field of Basic Biochemistry towards faculty of pharmacy undergraduate students. There are two Assistant Professors in the Department of Biochemistry. Our major interests are in the investigation of oxidative stress, adhesion molecules, cytokines and interleukins, protein kinase enzyme and different signal pathways related to this enzyme in various diseases such as diabetes and chronic renal failure. For this purpose, projects are being carried out jointly with the Faculty of Medicine Medical Biology Department using spectrophotometric, electrophoretic and many other biochemical methods. The process of structuring Department of Biochemistry is still ongoing.
